Bordeaux City Bond welcomes its "ambassador
Every year, the warehouse at the gateway to the Bordeaux vineyards welcomes the man she likes to call her "ambassador", Mr Julian POH, founder of Bordeaux Liquid Gold in Singapore, and French Liquid Gold in Selangor, Malaysia. Accompanied by some fifteen customers, Julian takes visitors on a tour of the vineyard's most prestigious châteaux, including Angelus, Haut Brion, Lafite Rothschild... the list goes on. And the pleasure of meeting during a tour of the warehouse followed by breakfast is always the same, and continues at the end of the day in a unique venue, each time more original and unpredictable than the last. This year it was a private dinner at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Bordeaux.
Bordeaux City Bond Afterworks
After-work drinks with colleagues are a popular feature in the English-speaking world, and are becoming increasingly popular in France. For Bordeaux City Bond, this is nothing new, nor is the daybreaker, which involves a gym session in the middle of the day on two days of the week. For the 2nd time in a row, the warehouse has organized an after-work session for assistants from the logistics and sales departments of various wine merchants. It was a great success, with each of the assistants leaving with the desire to meet up again for another afterwork. It's an initiative that facilitates business links and simply makes people want to work together. A 3rd meeting is planned for the autumn.
ERNST & YOUNG: a quality partnership
Bordeaux City Bond has further strengthened its ties with management consultancy firm ERNST &YOUNG, and has warmly invited some of their Chinese customers, owners of châteaux in the region, to visit the warehouse, with the aim of offering a storage solution for their wines, as well as advice on customs procedures. The union between Bordeaux City Bond and Ernst & Young enables us to offer a complete service to Chinese châteaux owners who have no knowledge of the law in this field.
VINEXPO Hong-Kong 2018 celebrated its 20th anniversary with a bang!
Traditionally, the festivities kick off with La Jurade's prestigious Gala Dinner on Monday May 28. The event brings together influential figures from the world of wine, including world-renowned Châteaux owners. Bordeaux City Bond was present, and invited to its table: forwarding agents, lawyers, French and Hong Kong wine merchants, château owners, all gathered in a festive and convivial atmosphere. For some, it was a great opportunity to forge links and exchange know-how, while for others it was a chance to consider new professional prospects. A new chapter for La Jurade will open at the end of the year in Singapore and Malaysia.
The following day, the Vinexpo trade show, in its purple, white and red colors, opens its doors for the twentieth time. On the same day, Bordeaux City Bond took part in a conference organized at the Grand Hyatt by Ernst & Young, the CCI de Bordeaux Gironde and Bordeaux Métropole, on the theme of investment in Bordeaux. The warehouse's presentation was widely applauded.
The following days saw a succession of business meetings, lunches and dinners, providing an opportunity to meet new people, draw inspiration from other experiences and move forward.
New must-see destinations
The Japanese wine market is beginning to open up, and from June 1 to 4, Bordeaux City Bond is taking advantage of the opportunity to meet influential operators and plan a unique event for its customers and prospects.
Seoul, too, has become a must-attend event, which is why Bordeaux City Bond made a point of meeting its customers there from June 4 to 6. The Korean market is a promising and fast-growing one, far from going unnoticed...
