Bordeaux City Bond, ever closer to its customers
The start of the year has been very rewarding for Bordeaux City Bond in terms of business links. The visit of Mélusine AMPE, Managing Director of the Warehouse with French Tech to CES in Las Vegas, held from January 5 to 8, 2017, was an opportunity to visit her American customers based on the West Coast. California and Napa Valley are a little paradise in many ways that's nice to get to know, and Mélusine Ampe was able to get to know customers she hadn't previously had the opportunity to meet. Bordeaux City Bond, more than a warehouse, is committed to taking care of them as it does their wines. That's why it's vital to get as close to them as possible, to identify their needs, envisage appropriate solutions and gain their trust. Hence our motto "We treasure your wine".
With this in mind, in February we welcomed our "ambassador", Julian Poh, Managing Director of Bordeaux Liquid Gold, accompanied by 25 of his customers. All were interested in the various qualities of the warehouse: confidentiality, security and tailor-made service, to guarantee the best storage conditions for their wines. A "Bordeaux night out", including a visit to the Cité des Vins and dinner in the heart of the Golden Triangle, at chef Philippe Etchebest's restaurant, provided an opportunity to get to know each other better in a more intimate setting.
Bordeaux City Bond and Chronopost: a partnership that works
On Thursday, February 16, 2017, on the occasion of a first anniversary review of the partnership between Bordeaux City Bond and Chronopost, the warehouse opened its doors to the Press. To welcome its journalists, Agnès Grangé, Déléguée Régionale de La Poste, Philippe Dumand, President of Bordeaux City Bond, Frédéric Bernard, Marketing and Communications Director of Chronopost and finally Thomas Hébrard, President and Founder of U'Wine, a trading company dedicated to private customers, were present and retraced the history of the project, its success and its evolution. This was followed by a tour of the warehouse and a warm and friendly buffet.
Launched 3 years ago, Chronoviti Bordeaux Gironde is a unique solution that has become a must-have for Bordeaux producers and merchants. Simple, fast and interactive, it meets all the requirements of the wine industry. Chronoviti Bordeaux Gironde is a complete offer, including storage, preparation and dispatch of wine bottles, in France and in over 230 countries in Europe and worldwide.
If the bonded warehouse, created by the Bordeaux Gironde Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has a bright future ahead of it, it is also the result of an ambitious drive to boost the competitiveness of the economic operators concerned and the commercial offer for the sale of fine wines. Bottles stored under VAT suspension for export can now be sold in France. On the strength of its success, the partners plan to extend this logistics solution to other regions.
Les Primeurs 2016 is an event not to be missed
Every year, wine merchants travel from the 4 corners of the globe to taste samples of freshly made Bordeaux wines and appreciate the taste of renewal. Once again this year, the wines of Bordeaux created a surprise and are said to be "of the highest quality". According to Ariane Khaida, Managing Director of the Duclot trading house, in the 2016 vintage "overall, there's less taste of wood in the wines, and the ageing is more discreet and finer, certainly to the benefit of freshness, complexity and the expression of the diversity of terroirs". According to this well-known businesswoman, the Parker page is turning.
VINEXPO BORDEAUX 2017, the French wine event
On the occasion of Vinexpo, which takes place from June 18 to 21, 2017 at the Parc des Expositions in Bordeaux, Bordeaux City Bond is making a chauffeur-driven vehicle available to its customers to facilitate their comings and goings between visits to the warehouse and Vinexpo, and inviting them to share a convivial lunch on site.
