On Thursday, February 16, 2017, on the occasion of a first anniversary review of the partnership between BORDEAUX CITY BOND and CHRONOPOST, the warehouse opened its doors to the Press. To welcome the journalists, Agnès Grangé, Regional Delegate for La Poste, Philippe Dumand, Chairman of Bordeaux City Bond, Frédéric Bernard, Marketing and Communications Director for Chronopost, and Thomas Hébrard, Chairman and founder of U'Wine, a wine merchant dedicated to private customers, were on hand to talk for an hour about the history of the project, its success and its development. This was followed by a tour of the warehouse and a warm and friendly buffet.
Launched 3 years ago, Chronoviti Bordeaux Gironde is a unique solution that has become a must-have for Bordeaux producers and merchants. Simple, fast and interactive, it meets all the requirements of the wine industry. Chronoviti Bordeaux Gironde is a complete offer, including storage, preparation and dispatch of wine bottles, in France and in over 230 countries in Europe and worldwide. Bordeaux City Bond takes care of the storage and conservation of wines in a fully secure 3000 m2 facility, followed by preparation, shipping and customs formalities.
If the bonded warehouse, created by the Bordeaux Gironde Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has a bright future ahead of it, it is also the result of an ambitious drive to boost the competitiveness of the economic operators concerned and the commercial offer for the sale of fine wines. Bottles stored under VAT suspension for export can now be sold in France. On the strength of its success, the partners plan to extend this logistics solution to other regions.
